It's definitely the game bodychecking you so you understand how to maximise damage for the back half.
The way I got through it was focussing down the Brute and the support guy, and then spamming the guaranteed crits from Kabb's Scoundrel ability

Something like the little adds phase in Necron EX that happens periodically throughout a fight. Overall just more individual mechanics that murder a person instead of bodychecking.
