I got all the Paper Mario TTYD Dragons in Mariomon
For Bonetail you have to do "the pit" first (AKA Battle Pyramid But You Have Rentals), where you have to reach the 7th floor 3 times, then beat the boss there to unlock her location

i actually have the TTYD remake and i got pretty far in it but then ragequit after realising that once you get to the bonetail fight you can no longer leave the pit of 100 trials forcing me to lose over an hour of progress. i haven’t played it since because i’m still a bit annoyed at it

Defeated bonetail right after beating chapter 4.
Considered doing this after I got yoshi but what better way to raise Vivian’s morale than to beat the final boss+
Overall, it wasn’t too bad tbh. The breath attacks are much more generous on guarding them. Just tank with Mario and spam fiery jynx!

Considered doing this after I got yoshi but what better way to raise Vivian’s morale than to beat the final boss+

I did it! Honestly the run-up to the Bonetail battle was harder than the actual fight (two Power Pluses on Mario + Power Lift + Rally Wink + Piercing Blow is a busted combo) and that’s probably why I couldn’t beat this as a kid

There are very few remixes that I adore way more than the original (like the X Naut Fortress which has like 5 renditions now and especially the newly added Bonetail remix) but there are NEW songs that the music badge doesn’t turn off and I hate those the most (most of them at least)

I defeated Bonetail in TTYD tonight. I still have the Prince Mush and Whacka battle left, but when I get around to fighting them I’ll have 100% completion in the game. 😁

I've officially beaten Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door's toughest challenge: Bonetail (a post-game boss) before beating Hooktail (Chapter 1's boss). 100 levels and 8 hours of misery later, we managed to scrape out a victory. Holy shit I was sweating through this.
