Some major ones:
The Strait of Malacca joining the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the busiest sea passage on Earth.
The Bab-el-Mandeb at the southern end of the Red Sea (this is what the Houthis blocked).

Turkey is never going to play it straight because of the Bosphorous. It will always have the Russian bear in one ear and the American eagle in the other.
I think Türkiye will become more reliable once Erdoğan is out of office...and even if he tries to run again *this* time, he probably won't win. He barely won last time.

It is all slowly crystallising into a dreadful mess. Ukraine needs to keep the pressure up. It’s slowly tilting the balance in Russia to a point it cannot hold out.
Oil is still being exported via the Black Sea though - I saw tankers in the Bosphorous just over a week ago fully loaded.

Turkey can make a big difference in the Black Sea if they deny the Shadow fleet passage through the Bosphorous Strait. Even if they keep Russian war ships out of the Black Sea, they can still use missiles to strike Ukraine from the Eastern Mediterranean! So please do what you can to help, Turkey.
