This from the man who championed #BothVotesSNP to reduce the number of pro-indy list seats, when his own party was never going to get more than the one they did (and shouldn't have even got that, due to a surprise narrow FPTP defeat in the H&I region).

Yes, it was very useful in demonstrating that the SNP were wasting pro-indy votes wanting #BothVotesSNP as they were no hopers on the list almost everywhere.

They have an utter cheek of hailing the largest ever pro-indy return of MSPs when their #BothVotesSNP was designed to prevent it. It was only realistically possible with more than one party, but the SNP kept pro-indy votes from mattering.
We did the math on that too. Well over 500k wasted votes.

You are wrong! Maths doesn't lie. #BothVotesSNP wasted 600,000 List votes! SNP got 1 List seat!! If 50% of those List had gone to the Scot Greens then we could have had 10-15 more Indy MSPs and done immeasurable damage to the Unionist parties. SNP played party politics in order to remain top dog!

I tried on BlueSky along with many(maybe 1,000 people) to get SNP voters to give their List vote to Scottish Greens. Maybe we made a dent in the voting figures. We failed miserably against mainstream #BothVotesSNP. The MSM in Scotland is massive.

Standing government(s) do not educate the voters on the D'Hondt PR system. Almost 30 years on from the Scotland Act 1997 & voters still don't know how the regional seats are allocated.
SNP marketed #BothVotesSNP & most SNP voters did exactly that.

Exactly! I fell out with my MSP Keith Brown over #BothVotesSNP .But he & his staff were adamant about it.
I even showed them that in 2021 SNP won 136,825 List votes in Mid Scotland and Fife. But because they won 8/9 Constituency seats it was reduced to 15,203.
Old guard need to go. Get Flynn in!!

Our final "What if half the SNP list voters voted Scottish Green on the list instead" scenario shows us that for the one freak SNP list seat in Highlands & Islands, we could have had 11 Scottish Green MSPs, so 24 SGP list seats, 26 seats in total, to add to the 57 SNP FPTP.

I'm totally convinced that the #BothVotesSNP malarky has produced this result. And because of that tactic we have ended up with 17 far right racists in our parliament who have absolutely no experience in political discourse or parliamentary procedure whatsoever
