after volumising brush (the bouncecurl edge volumiser)
gel with prayer hands
when everything is gone through SCRUNCH
then plop in microfibre towel
then air or diffuser dry
then scrunch crunch

My hair type - mostly 2b, some 2a and 2c

this is where I acknowledge my limitations & say i really don’t know how to style 2A hair, BUT…

You can shop by hair type & they have ‘how-to-use’ videos for each type on a lot of the products, like this light hold creme gel that is simply wonderful

I also find brush styling (i like the bouncecurl, some people have better luck with the denman) gives me better root volume, which helps keep it directed in that area also.
