its hard explaining that "jade" is a cultural term describing "powerful green stones" and that jadeite, nephrite, and bowenite are all completely unrelated chemically but are all called "jade" when people come in going "give me magic rock that makes me money and make sure its real"

Two digital illustrations I made back in 2020, inspired by the story of Waitaiki, the mother of pounamu (Aotearoa New Zealand greenstone).
"Tamāhua Pursues Poutini," Digital Illustration. The work is split vertically into two parts. The top half depicts Tamāhua scanning the horizon in search of Waitaki, his wife, and Poutini, the taniwha who kidnapped her. The bottom half depicts Poutini grasping Waitaki as he swims away from Tamāhua. This stone carving shows up fairly often on Republic-era Chinese cloisonne boxes. Most examples are pretty poor. This is one of the better ones - it's actually possible to tell that it's supposed to be the Three Friends of Winter (plum, bamboo, chrysanthemum).
Not jade, likely Bowenite serpentine.

My parents have a little land on a mountain of it in Oregon. We find some stunning varieties of bowenite in and around the Siskiyou mountains.

Māori Jesus by Sofia Minson—a New Zealand painter of Māori, Swedish, English, and Irish descent—depicts Jesus with a full-face moko (tattoo) and a pōhoi (ear and neck ornament) made from the skin of the native but now extinct huia bird. Ngāti Maniapoto chief Rewi Maniapoto with the sacred heart. Meant to evoke thought and question; the artist Heather Straka has a complete collection of famous Māori leaders she paints with a religious symbol, such as the Sacred Heart, Immaculate Heart, or Sorrowful Heart Pounamu—typically called greenstone by English speakers—is the name Māori give to various kinds of nephrite jade and bowenite found in southern New Zealand. Tangiwai (literally, “tear-water” or “river of tears”) is a type of pounamu that is nearly transparent; Māori legend claims it originated from the tears of a lamenting woman. In titling the work Tangiwai, Lynch invokes the mythology of this treasured gem and grafts Mary into it. Why does Mary weep? Because she knows a sword will pierce her heart, and the anticipation hurts. She considers along with Simeon’s words all the other messianic prophecies given throughout the history of her people and wishes there were another way for salvation to be achieved—a way other than the suffering and death of her little boy. The figure is identifiable as Jesus because of the bloody wound on his wrist and the three nails that are pinned to different extremities of an abstracted cross. He is shown as Māori, with feathers in his hair and moko on his face, upper arm, buttocks, and thigh. A chaos of spirals and light-beams circles around him as he groans loudly, laboring to bring to birth the new creation. The inscription under Jesus’s foot reads, HAERE I RUNGA I TE RANGIMARIE O HEHU KARAITI: “Go in the peace of Jesus Christ,” or “The peace of Jesus Christ be with you.”

Carved of 'bloodstone,' bowenite with light green/brown ground and heavy striations of 'blood' red. The finial carved in the form of a Divine Tortoise, in whose nature the qualities of the dragon and tortoise are combined, symbolic of a wish for longevity. Used by literati to impress their personal marks on documents and works of art, seals were among the most important scholar's implements. The literati often carved the legends themselves. Bronze and jade were commonly used for seals before the Yuan dynasty (1280–1368), but these materials proved too hard to be carved by anyone but professionals. In the Ming dynasty, soapstone became the preferred material of the literati. Scholars readily carved the soft material in their personal calligraphic styles. Like literati paintings, seals expressed the taste and personality of their owners. The squared, angular characters and simple, forceful calligraphy in these examples were inspired by Han dynasty (2nd century BCE–2nd century CE) script, which along with bronze inscriptions and other early styles of calligraphy was studied and emulated by the wen ren. The tortoise at the top of each seal often appeared in Han dynasty seals. It symbolized longevity, strength, and endurance, traits associated with the scholar.
