Reminder that Soukoban World on the PC Engine was called Boxyboy in the US. I think this is a funny enough name that we should be talking about it much more often.

Something I love about retro gaming is finding something new that just hits in all the right ways.
Tonight that game was "Boxyboy" for the Turbo Grafx/PC Engine.
A simple and fun little puzzle game where you must push boxes onto lights in order to make sure they are all covered.
Loved it!

I don't think it's covered in the Hudson Densetsu books. I think Boxyboy is also Hudson (same Media Rings copyright notice).

this goes by like a thousand different names. i can't stand vanilla sokoban, it's just so dull. the primary use sokoban has is programming practice, and even then a shocking amount of clones either forgot or actively refused to put in an undo button, making an already tedious puzzle even moreso.

Puzzler for the TG16 that had the player pushing boxes in a warehouse. Based off of Thinking Rabbit's Sokoban, it is known as Sokoban World in Japan.
