I think given the subject matter of #BoyWithCaution, and the setup of who the characters were to each other, a typical HEA ending would have been impossible. So this was the best real outcome for them. Open with hope.

I spent the last ones thinking the same about Hyunjae... When he said that he surrender and he let go I was scared he could do something radical...
So for me was a win too, even when I would prefer someone dealing with his dad 🥺

Usually I hate the #KBL popular open endings, that leave me confuse and sad/angry. But this time, this kind of ending give me hope. Maybe, in the future, we could meet again. We could try again.

Yes! Jang broke through the shackles he was carrying for so long and took a step for a better life. Watching him cried was sad but also a relief.
But I'm sad for the student, the dad situation was terrible. Even if let it go of Jang was the right thing... He was left alone.

Oh, I didn’t know there was going to be a sequel to #Summertime. And with that director too. Wow. I really enjoyed #BoyWithCaution but it was very heavy. No lightness there.

It held so much repressed emotion. In every character. That we could see without it being shown (if you get what I mean). Really really high quality all round. Direction, editing, acting, cinematography. All of it. #BoyWithCaution

I wish I spoke Korean because I feel sure we missed a lot of nuance in translation. (Even if the subs were good.) Every single line held depths of meaning. #BoyWithCaution
