A thing I love about Dolmenwood are the character appearance random tables: each PC has a distinct visual identity right from the start, which is a remarkable outcome for such a simple feature

Funnily enough one original breggle idea -- that the longhorn nobility would tend towards piebald coats and distinct domestic "breed" looks as an analog to Hapsburg iinbred nobility -- was actually vetoed b/c the breggle class begins as a shorthorn and advances to a longhorn via level-up.

Two of my Dolmenwood players (Breggle Hunter and Grimalkin thief) decided to fight a basilisk while the rest of the party fled. They won and even got the basilisk to try to retreat. It was the most exciting showdown we’ve had yet.
