The problem for the Tories is that a large tranche of their better people were driven out during the Breixt fights (Hammond, Gauke, Grieve, Letwin, Greening , Stewart) etc, and they lost so many in 2024 that they have little talent.

/1
Increasingly torn between thinking all this is good for Reform because it's cementing their position as the dominant right bloc party vs thinking it's good for the Tories because all the worst people are leaving.

This will be the time Lucy will, most assuredly, not once again move the football as Charlie Brown goes to kick it.

For reals this time.

We know they do, they've been doing as promised in their manifesto, working ever more closely with the EU, repairing our broken relationship. I've been disappointed to see some posters still insisting Starmer supports Breixt, he doesn't and never has.

bluesky is the short king of social apps

in all seriousness, we're up against incumbents that have repeatedly lost your trust. we're young and consistently growing, and we're building an open social network that puts users first. we're very excited to have you along for the ride 🦋

Finally had to get my post Breixt black passport (also its "his" majesty now of course too!).

Fairly quick turned around only applied last for it Monday last week!

Bit of flimsy envelope for the extra fiver tracked cost...

Also the both sides of the envelope make it quite obvious what is inside?

Is this down to those absurd statements, Chancellors red lines, breixt boat has sailed or words to that effect?

Fine, brexit is done and it is a mess. Do a new deal. Don't tinker the old one, start afresh. Take Cons and Reform head on.

#BREIXT destroyed the voice of the UK in any negotiations.

i have to agree with Steve. One friend who has lived here for decades, who was born in Guyana, found "Pakis Go Home" written on her front door during the Breixt campaign, after never having had any problems of that kind.

Yes that's a whole other thing. But it did have the desired effect. The Story went away. They kept trying that but other stories (antisemitism, Breixt) did not go away. They snowballed into avalanches.

Until my fiance moved to the UK, I didn't know about that newspaper. He showed me a link to a Brexit related post (obviously talking about how great it would be) and one comment below it said "The days of the Irish telling the UK what to do are over"

It was at that point I understood Breixt.
September 22, 2026 at 8:19 AM
I am as pro-EU as you can find, but some of these approaches are more like religious fundamentalism than any sensible analysis. And the country has to put some problems right, Breixt not withstanding!
February 19, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Gave up on them two a while back, too much lads lads lads banter about grooming pubes and goode with breixt shite
March 8, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Passively accepting a potential partner's first offer is not usually the best way to negotiate - Starmer is not now in Germany to play golf..... If we learnt nothing else from the Breixt fiasco under the blonde incompetent, it is that anything involving the EU takes time & care to settle

Bought and paid for and breixt has been a disaster for the UK when will people wake up to this grifter.

As a life long anglophile, I was sad that the UK rejected their best trading pardners with the #BREIXTDISASTER . #BREIXT is a man made barrier to trade, which will continue to make folks in the UK sicker, poorer and deeper in debt. There is no upside to #Brexit .

Speaking as someone who's watched people deliberately make ant-trans views be the fighting ground for Scottish politics, Yes.

(And that's a nation both considering independence and dealing with its former leader's acquittal in a sex crimes, while trying to navigate Covid, Breixt, and Tory UK Gov't)

Corbyn has ALWAYS criticised Russia, and Putin.

Perhaps you're thinking of the ones that took the Russian money, refused to investigate Russian interference in Breixt, met privately with ex-KGB and elevated Lebedev to the Lords?

Who was that again?

Not Corbyn.

Your Tory is showing.

It does matter. Because, Burnham has found himself PM after a by-election. If he had been chosen to lead to Labour party and won 2024, it would be different. He could claim he has a clear mandate.
But, if he builds his argument to reverse Breixt, then he can achieve that next election.
September 2, 2026 at 7:31 AM
#BREIXT is the greatest barrier to trade, ever fabricated, that continues and will continue to make folks in the UK sicker, poorer and deeper in debt.
January 6, 2025 at 10:28 AM
The #BREIXT LIARS need to fabricate more lies to cover up their previous lies.
The liars, of course, have all moved on to new cons & deceptions. The fishing industry can't. A vaguely honest media would be holding Farage & the rest to account for this instead of promoting a meaningless petition...

#BREIXT is an ongoing disaster, which has yet to reach rock bottom. As an Anglophile I hate what has done to the UK. However, on the bright side it made the EU much stronger and continuing to grow.
November 5, 2024 at 1:42 PM
I think #BREIXT has harmed young Britons the most, of any group in the UK and this is an ongoing disaster that should be reversed.
September 9, 2024 at 3:41 PM
#BREIXT was NEVER going to be a good thing for the UK, as an American I could see that. Being part of the EU made the UK filthy rich and the center of banking for the EU. Watching the #Brexitdisaster was fabricated by those who knew but didn't care what a disaster it would be for everyone in the UK.

@jessicaelgot.bsky.social @paulnowaktuc.bsky.social the services industry relies on mobility frameworks of the #singleMarket People have lost 80%+ of their livelihoods. Breixt TCA is not enough. I outline the problems here.
