In other news, I decided to reblock my hat. Blocking it flat left little horns on it. So, I got some balloons, blew one up to 20 inches in circumference, placed it on a mug, and put the damp hat on the balloon. Worked out well.

The Beloved Ghost shawl, a winged pi shawl worked in single color brioche. It fades from a deep slate gray through a variegated gray and speckled cream. These yarns are from the Snug and Spun fiber company’s Tortured Poets Department collection A Beloved Ghost shawl in progress. This one is using an advent calendar from The Fibre Fox, that goes from the softest pale pink through deeper pinks, violet and blue all the way to black (I’m not there yet though) The pattern is easily modified for use with countdown calendars, scraps, etc A more monochromatic take on the Bloomfield Shawl, this one fades dark grey through lighter grays and blues. It’s Polka Dot Sheep’s iron horse silk-wool base The original Bloomfield, a single-color brioche fade from blue to violet to green in a winged triangle shawl. Single-ply merino wool dyed by Forest Fiber Arts. I’m modeling it on the shore of Lake Superior under a rainbow
