As someone who lives in this district: a ton of young folks have moved here from outside of broadripple in Westfield, Sheridan, etc. and they are NOT having it.
So if you apply that 14 point swing to the whole district, which is not *not* the wrong way to do it, IN-05 is a pure tossup (was Trump +17 in 2024 and +16 in 2020)

How many people in their late 80s and 90s do you know that would competently be able to handle relocating from their home of 60+ years? I watched this happen live in 2008 in Broadripple, a neighborhood in Indianapolis, and it was awful. There was some legislative action in response but not enough

La chinita poblana went on a whole ass journey - they shut down bc broadripple rent got too high, they were a food truck for a a few years and then finally reopened in the garage. All their recipes changed and the quality lowered significantly. But I still go back 😂😂
