A cover I illustrated for the upcoming graphic novel Bronze Faces by myself and @shobocoker.bsky.social

#BronzeFaces #1 by @shobocoker.bsky.social & @shofcoker.bsky.social and Alexandre Tefenkgi. Timi, Sango and Gbonka were 3 children raised by the same man. He was a sculptor whose masks were put in a British museum when he passed. It's up to the siblings to get the masks back. Great story and art.

#BronzeFaces 6: A bit anticlimactic. Not the ending I expected, but it was a bittersweet and fitting one reflecting the mythology at the core of the story. I’m relieved with Emily’s turn. I appreciated and enjoyed how the vernacular went full Nigerian before closing out.

#BronzeFaces 5: Here we go! The confrontation! Well-written and drawn penultimate. I felt the drama and suspense of and behind the heist.

#BronzeFaces 4: Rly good drama begging to be adapted to live-action w/ an international cast.

Shof’s a fantastic cover artist w/ a raw style that still comes across as finished & polished. Tefenkgi’s a brilliant sequential artist who shines w/ his bold & dynamic panel compositions & subtle touches

#BronzeFaces 3: I saw it coming, but still … not Decs! 😩 Shobo and Shof did an excellent job of introducing and making me care for the four specialists in the space of one issue. I love the visual uniqueness Tefenkgi injected into each character.

#BronzeFaces 2: I really love the parallels shared between the characters and the mythology of their namesakes.

#BronzeFaces 1: Sango’s gon have them all burned. 😅 Very cool story about childhood found family in Nigeria coming together in adulthood and taking on a mission that would make Killmonger invest. So dope to get to enjoy Alexandre Tefenkgi’s art again since THE GOOD ASIAN.

Day 457 of #breakfastandacomic I read #BronzeFaces @shobocoker.bsky.social & @shofcoker.bsky.social did an amazing job with this and I can’t wait for the trade. The art and story were chef’s kiss!! #blackhistorymonth #angeliquelovescomics
