The broodals feel like the final remnant of this dev team’s slight aversion to any notable plot beat. I felt that at the time even, you spend the whole game chasing after them but you don’t know anything about them. Madame Broode is their boss but they’re never even on screen together. Very weird

dude the broodals are not only ugly as fuck but also complete nothingburgers. just about the nicest thing i can say about them is that they weren't the koopalings for once.

I was talking about how in terms of Odyssey rep in spinoffs after Cappy who I really want, some characters like these would be cool and I realized the Broodals are there and much more notable but I kinda just don't care

I think one of the best resources for how" AAA" game concept art works/what it is, would be the mario odyssey artbook.
It's one of the few that actually shows iteration processes, how they tackled gameplay-first designs and how it shaped how the game looked (and how it could have been different)

Completely not understanding the hype around the DK game. It looks fine. It looks like Mario Odyssey again, and Mario Odyssey was fine, so this one will be fine but not as original. They even brought back the detestable Broodals.

Also none of the broodals fit the rabbit model, it'd look rlly weird, as many other mobs do. And we have rango as a pillager... for some reason, anyways
