I lived in Germany and France and the Netherlands, Malaysia and Brunei and Singapore, the US, the UK and Saudi Arabia - I know what an equitable society looks like and we're like a dollar-store version of the UK, as run by the Americans

We used to be proud to run our own play, now we are vassals

[12/5/66]* KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Brunei are to have separate currencies from 12 June. It is understood that negotiations for Brunei to use the Malaysian dollar fell through due to disagreements on whether His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong should appear on the banknotes.

Adnan Khashoggi's former yacht, as used in Never Say Never Again.

Sold in 1988 to the Sultan of Brunei, who sold it to an American property tycoon for $29m. After a multi-million dollar refit, he sold it in 1991 for $20m.

Guess who lost millions on a Bond villain yacht?

Donald J. Trump.

These are basically worth just face value except the $1 has a lower mintage and is worth a bit more (perhaps A$5).

I didn’t realise the Singapore dollar and Brunei dollar are used interchangeably (same value peg).

[12/5/66]* The Malayan and British Borneo dollar will continue to be legal tender throughout Malaysia and Brunei for some time, so there will be no need to rush to change for the new currency on 12 June.

It's a long video but as a car fan I just had to watch it and it was worth it.

I'm surprised that you can have 3 countries so close together (Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei) but they have completely different rules and attitudes towards owning a car in said country.
