ok, new power regulator, buckboost again, 4V-6V in, 5V out, able to do 100mA.
This one is a mod of a circuit from an ON application note. :]

Where did I leave off...
Ah, worked continued on the power supply, buckboost, inductor charge transfer, non-inverting.

So, the question is, what voltage range are these good to?
The idea is to take 1 li-ion cell, step it up, then regulate down.
The step-up-and-regulate-down method makes a bit more sense when your in a buckboost situation. And at 1am when shopping on aliexpress.

Then plan is to use this protoboard as a carrier for all the electronics modules.
I need:
- gyro
- motor driver
- microcontroller
- maybe power regulator*
*this could get tricky, I might need a buckboost

ugh, so, this remote I'm converting, I need a 3.3V supply, but I want to use a 1 cell li-ion battery, so I need a buckboost supply ( I suppose buck-only if its not efficient enough ) I have this one in my "library" I wonder if its quiet enough to go with the radio transmitter.... :/

tinfoil hat?

This is awesome cause it means its completely safe to use these on 6V alkaline or even 8V li-ion packs. The 6V alkaline situation being where you get the buckboost problem to 5V happening.

ok, well, here is the analog gyro feeding the adc -> pwm, but my buckboost power supply stopped working and the big mystery is how it worked in the first place.

*sigh* building power converters is kicking my ass again...

This evening I tested TPS63900 buckboost converter set to 5V and I could load it with 500mA. I am happy!

oh today, where to start...

So the goal is a 3.3V power supply for the robot remote I'm building. Because buckboost is a pain I decided to use a 1.5V battery and just boost.
This is a circuit based on the QX5252 LED boost controller, little did I know this wont work, and I will tell the story.

Add in my little dc-ac inverter and I can output 110 ac and run things that want regular wall voltage, like my laptop.
