Amtrak is rotating its Acela First Class menu, bringing back "favorite" options and a new Spaghetti Bolognese. Also new caramelized apple bread pudding breakfast and chilled harissa-spiced salmon lunch/dinner offerings.

This is why I never go to upscale chain restaurants like buddakan. They’ve discovered stupid ways for back of house to be more efficient by making the dining experience worse

Independence hall area, and the 2nd bank portrait gallery especially are worth your time. Red Owl Tavern, P. J. Clarke’s, and Buddakan are nearby. Walking up 3rd street from there and the museum for Art in Wood is in a fun neighborhood. Beer at National Mechanics or Khyber Pass on 2nd

Tao or Buddakan! I love Buddakan! They both pricey but it’s worth it!! And both are scenic for photos….. there are too many nice restaurants tho 😂

Keen’s is THE quintessential old school steakhouse. Buddakan is like cool pan-Asian cuisine. Vatan is really good vegetarian/vegan Indian and it’s all you can eat. Plus, the inside is decorated to look like an Indian village. Da Umberto is really good classic Italian. These are all in Manhattan fyi

Buddy of mine was in Philly for some convention or business thing, so I took him to Buddakan for dinner. We were having drinks at the bar after, when Charles Barkley took the stool next to us. The three of us had a blast that night & closed the place down. Charles is exactly the guy you see on TV.
