I haven't been able to draw as much as I liked to as of late.

Personal life has been busy...but good busy! I hope to be able to draw up something again soon.

This isn't Kabuto Park yet but an old drawing I did for Bugblr on Tumblr. I will do Kabuto Park soon!

These fellas always look so so frightened 😭

🪲ID Guess: Australian Garden Mantis
#ozinverts #bugblr
A closeup photo of a mantis's head, its left eye highly in focus. The mantis is various shades of lime green, its head is slightly tiled to the side and its arms are pressed tight to its body. The individual facets of the mantis's compound eye can be seen, and its small brown pupil peers upward. Another photo of the same little green mantis from further away, the side of its thorax and head in focus. The edges of its flat back is serated, and its head and arms are pressed tightly against its body as if its shy. Another photo of the same little green mantis from even further away, its entire body in focus from the back. The plates of its body are neat, flat, and soft mint green in colour. Its arms are still pressed tightly against its body and so cant cant be seen in this photo.

Larva vs adult 28 spotted ladybug✨ When I saw the larvae I thought they were little plant puffs hehe! I wish I got a video of the little ones crawling around, so cute :D

🪲ID Guess: 28 spotted potato ladybird (Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata)
#ozinverts #bugblr
A little spiky yellow 28 spotted ladybug larva chewing on a really distressed leaf. The larva's little yellow body is stubby like a jellybean with chunky worm rolls. On each roll theres a row of spikeys that stick out, with smaller spikes on each bigger spike. It has little legs in the front of its body, and its tiny dot eye can be seen on the side of its little face. I have used the word little alot in this description, but it is accurate. An adult 28 spotted potato ladybug chilling on a nicer green leaf. The beetle is very round, like half a marble. It is all orangey yellow with black splotchy dots all over. The light sheen of tiny velvety hairs can be seen all over it. Its tiny legs are barely seen under its body.

@Virginicus

There is a bugblr it includes beeblr, antblr, waspblr (one of the reasons I still respect tumblr to some degree is that waspblr is obviously about actual wasps not WASPs)
