i will avoid posting too many comic sketch wips here (reserving them for patreon early access) (i have a patreon btw the prices are as low as $2/mo) but the general vibe is this. this may/may not be a heavily abstracted vent
#hollowknight #silksong #hkart #au #bugburgerau
sketch of shakra hollow knight silksong looking up at something with pure despair in her eyes, saying "oh we're fucked". she is in the BUG BURGER uniform (think, mcdonalds). since she is in the kitchen/BOH she has an apron on

now that more hk ppl are here i am reposting my AU sheet. everyone is working fast food and there's a bit of lore i guess but it shouldn't be taken *too* seriously. making it a comic for next year, currently making buffers

#hollowknight #au #hkart #hkau #bugburgerau
info sheet for my hk au. the drawings depict the exterior of BUG BURGER (burger restaurant), and Hornet and Sherma in their uniforms (sherma has a cap but hornet has a visor due to it working better with her head shape). Text (leftmost) reads: "What the hell is BUG BURGER?" -fast-food focused HK AU, story is told through comics (made by me, orion/quetzal/LEGENDARYD0GS) -a modern AU at its core, but focused on working fast food -has a little bit of a plot but is mostly a comedy -several characters are working at the BUG BURGER. it is like a mcdonalds kind of -there is also a coffee shop nearby where a couple other guys you know and love work but they're a lot less relevant -this has all been caused by the Higher Being of Fast Food btw who is this mysterious higher being of fast food? it is a roach that ascended (de-scended?) everyone to the Plane of Mundane Life. *most* characters have no memory of this occurring -generally, character abilities remain the same -some canonical lore aspects remain the same regardless of how much sense it makes rightmost text reads: ROLES AT THE START OF THE STORY: General Manager: Elderbug Managers: Hornet, THK, Sly Manager-in-training: Shakra Crosstrained employees: Lace, Shakra, Bretta FOH-only: Sherma BOH-only: Ghost Fired: Lugoli Not working at bug burger but still relevant /appear: Phantom, GMS, Trobbio, Grimm, Zote, Sharpe, Karmelita*, Second Sentinel* *they work at the coffee shop nearby subject to change/alteration over the course of the comic

BUG BURGER 11 - I'm Sorry I Couldn't Quite Catch That Could You Repeat That For Me Please quetzaldotdog.art/bugburger p1: Sherma is looking at the drive-thru POS system. For some inexplicable reason, Long Horse (created by Trevor Henderson) is visible through the drive-thru window. p2: Sherma answers the drive-thru headset cheerfully. Sherma: 'Hi! (music note) Welcome to Bug Burger! What can I get started for you today!' p3: The customer responds to his query with unintelligible mumbling. Sherma seems very confused. p4: Sherma pauses the headset, looking towards somewhere off-panel while he asks his coworkers a question. Sherma: 'Umm...Did either of you catch that?' p1: Bretta shrugs while Lace yells at someone on the phone in grawlix. Clearly, neither of them caught that. p2: Sherma sighs deeply, knowing what he must say next. p3: Sherma asks the dreaded question to the customer on the headset. Sherma: 'I'm sorry sir, I couldn't quite catch that! Could you repeat that for me please?' p1: The customer yells back in a shout bubble that takes up 80% of the panel and knocks off Sherma's hat. Customer: 'I SAID, I WANTED ONE BUG BURGER COMBO WITH A LARGE DR. PARTHENICE TO DRINK, WITH CURLY FRIES!!!!!' p2-p3: This formerly-mumbling guy is suddenly so loud that Sherma is physically knocked out of the panel, crashing into Lace who is in the next panel.

[ #bugburger #bugburgerau #hollowknight #silksong #hkfanart ]
BUG BURGER 07 - ASS HAZARD quetzaldotdog.art/bugburger p1: Shakra is looking around for someone worriedly. p2: Shakra is still looking, this time checking the dumpster out back. The Knight/Little Ghost is sitting against the dumpster and smoking. p3: Shakra approaches Hornet and lowers herself to her eye level. Shakra: 'Hey, hornet-wielding-headset?' Hornet, tired: 'mm?' p4: Shakra, worriedly: 'Have you seen Sly-Handling-Fry-Station ANYWHERE recently?' 'His break ended over an hour ago and he's still NOWHERE to be found!' p1: Hornet: 'Sorry to say that I haven't, but rest assured that i'll be writing him up for not coming back from break.' Shakra, straightening up: 'Hmm...' p2: Shakra, pondering: 'I suppose it is possible that he just walked out...' 'But he's not exactly the kind of bug to DO that. He needs the money just like everyone else here.' p3: Menacing shot of lugoli's upper back and head from behind. Shakra, offscreen: 'I wonder where he could be?' p4: Horrifying shot of Lugoli's ass. Sly is caught between their cheeks.

BUG BURGER 10 - GROCERY STORE quetzaldotdog.art/bugburger backgrounds by rabbitmortician instagram.com/rabbitmortician p1: Hornet and Lace are both off the clock and are coincidentally shopping in the same store at the same time. they are in the sauce/energy drink aisle. They spot each other, and lace waves at hornet, seeming surprised and a little nervous. Both bugs are carrying baskets. Hornet is in a dark hoodie while Lace is wearing a frilly long-sleeve shirt with a frilly collar and exposed shoulders. p2: They both turn towards the shelf. p1: Lace is placing Cocaine Energy Drinks into her basket with a clink. p2: Lace notices something that the viewer can't see, and pauses while holding her 'I AM FUCKED UP' energy. Lace: 'Oh? What's that you're buying?' p3: Hornet is taking a red, unlabelled sauce off the shelf. Hornet: 'Haha...I remember this sauce from when I was a child.' p4: Hornet, shaking while having a weird flashback of some kind: 'I used to get it at restaurants all the time but they had to stop serving it to me because it would make me go CRAZY and hurt myself and others' p1: Lace visualizes a baby Hornet hissing after violently mauling and killing other bugs in a restaurant. This visualization is clearly distressing her. p2: Lace, shaking violently: 'WHAT' p3: Hornet beings grabbing more of this Evil Red Sauce off the shelf and putting it into her shopping basket while Lace looks on in abject horror.
