I’m WFH and slow on billable work this week so I’m going to keep working on my overhead busywork with the TV in the background.
What’s YOUR plan to try and watch/listen to the Phillies game at work today? I’m hiding in a kitchen with a radio and screaming incoherently whenever someone opens the door

The short version 👇 Meta Muse for Small Business is an AI agent that plugs into the tools small businesses already use — QuickBooks, Shopify, Slack, and ad accounts — so it can handle the busywork for you. It was just announced; follow along and I'll share how to actually use it when it lands 🌞

If they’re going to keep this different recruit system (which I hope not) they should step up the character writing to make it feel like Something instead of just busywork

Which I don’t think is possible with how many characters fe gameplay necessitates (fw is on the larger end but even 3h size…)

Recovering from the flu and then I hope to be back at making things again. Schoolwork this time around is just hours of busywork and it is killing me

Use Python to automate SEO tasks. I use Beautiful Soup to scrape patterns. Here's the code: `soup.find_all('a')`. Replace busywork with code, free tools are often good enough 💻. Focus on high-leverage work.

Quantity ≠ interviews: quality wins.

Sending 100 generic apps -> fewer replies. Do 10 tailored apps: match 3-5 resume bullets to the JD, write a role-specific cover note, and follow up. Automate busywork; keep human review. Tools like Applyre help.

i'm still having a good time with it so far. the only thing is that the "free time" between the story segments often feels like too much of mindless busywork to me.

They're very tightly written and there is basically no busywork or grind. They spend the entire time trying to entertain you - the Toby Fox theory of game design "every part should be the good part"

I see my Switch 2 sitting right there, asking me to pick up Fortune’s Weave and keep going on Cai’s route. Just another few busywork tasks to get through, a few more bars to fill up to hear the jingle again, a couple dozen more support conversations that feel like they were written by ChatGPT. I ...

Metroidvania ability gates are supposed to feel like discovery, but backtracking through a map you already cleared just to use a new double jump feels like padding half the time. Where's the line between exploring and busywork? #indiegames #gamedev

My current placement would be close to the bottom, between blazing blade and sov. It has a lot of cool stuff going for it, my current favourite being the emphasis on personal skills and individual units having unique tools, however the ammount of busywork and the strange design choices

I can't automate any filing or records work because ai can't move files around on our LAN or fill out forms in various ancient file management programs. There's so much busywork that automation could help with, but you come up against access permissions.

Honestly, this isn't far off from why I left Amazon. Everybody tells you that you can just be a developer, but then a few years in they're demanding you become a manager of some form. I don't mind being a lead/senior developer, but I don't want to do bureaucratic busywork.
