something i think about semi-regularly is that it took until (iirc) the 50s or 60s for the idea that the B-17s from Midway had "softened up" the Kido Butai for the Navy
It’s funny to read about the various stunts pulled by the bomber mafia, transatlantic flights, bombing ships, trying to take over the postal service, and fake bombing NYC, and to read various media reports which were very enamored at the time

My attempt to restore the artwork of #Thundercade aka Twin Formation and Tokusyu Butai U.A.G., used on arcade ad flyers. Removed logos/text/screenshots, taking some liberties, and applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch process. No clue on the artist, any info let me know!
