nope, there were definitions for true and false and a _Bool type under stdbool.h, but those were not reserved keywords until C23.

You still need to specify bit fields when using the new (C23) arbitrary length integers in C, otherwise they take whole bytes, but this means you can keep instances of :3 in your code.
Snippet of C code, a struct named BitFieldTest with three fields size 3 bits, 3 bits and 2 bits in this order. These fields are named "shave", "and a haircut" and "two bits" respectively.
