@drrjwarren.bsky.social @saocousins.bsky.social @indikon.eurosky.social today's effort is maybe less successful. I nearly opened the ivory black to bring forward the framing trees but feared it would be too brutal. The castle had small gas retorts, scrubbers and a mini c4m gasometer.

よく考えたら、例えば1C4Mの電車2両を2C8Mで使うとして、電圧は直列下2ユニット分で分配だから、主抵抗器まで2ユニット分の全部を直列に繋ぐ必要ってないんじゃないか…？

この記事、奈良線での節電効果実証も載っていて、在来の8600系使用の場合に比べ各種別の平均で23.8%の消費電力減少になっている。ただ、元が1C4M全直列制御だったので、1C8M直並列制御化したことによる節電率が普通運用で10.5%、快急運用で4.5%を占めている。
界磁位相制御での回生制動化自体による省エネ効果は11～18%くらいということらしい。界磁チョッパが20%とか言われるのに比べると物足りない気もするが、在来車の機器類をほとんど活用して節電が図れるという点で有利だと近鉄の技術者自身が記載している。
