Logitech C925e has been my department's go-to for our users, we've had good luck with them so far. I use a Brio at home, but it feels overkill. Logitech is hit and miss, their cheaper webcams have been meh, but the more business-class ones seem solid.

Something like this might be nice for making synthesizer videos. And regular talking videos, but synthesizer videos are the tricky ones because I want something that will hold the camera above the instrument.

I will try and take a picture when I get home, but I have my webcam mounted on this, and it swivels, so when I’m not using it I have it off to the side, and then when I am using it I move my keyboard and swivel it over. It works really well for me! a.co/d/2xrqvYo

Pricey, yes. But I love mine. The only reason I'm not using the wall mount now is because we're renting and I don't want to drill holes in the walls.

this is the dumbest 2c, but a phone w an OK telephoto & a usb shotgun mic like a Rode VideoMic NTG is a VERY good fallback. we live in such an age of wonder.
