Frustrating. Have you tried cachebusting to see if it helps? Sometimes just appending a query string like ?v=1 to the URL can force a fresh load and fix these odd issues. Worth a shot before recreating everything!

@johnmu.com Hi John, ive been trying to learn some more about sitemap.xmls. Heard about this thing called cachebusting by adding a ?v=unix timestamp to the end of a sitemap url in a sitemapindex. In the Dev blog I could only find a comment on accurate values, I guess it applies too right?

Well this is it, dev don't want too many redirects because it slows things down, but also they've just implemented a new client side rendered nav that uses 3MB of JSON generated by a cachebusting script request
