Gavin Newsom is not cool enough to do this for CalRecycle
Now this is the kind of trash talk we can get behind.

We’re containerizing neighborhoods by taking trash off our sidewalks and allowing mid-size buildings to trade in their wheelie bins for a bigger, better, cleaner alternative: Empire Bins.

It’s time to put a lid on it, New York.

In Los Angeles I saw a billboard asking me to join the green revolution. It was paid for by a group called CalRecycle. I could think of only one thing: why weren’t they called RecyCAL!? Climate change is real, and we need to use everything at our disposal to fight it, including portmanteaus.

CRT TVs were worthless for years unless they were special in some way, but now any given model 27" or smaller will sell quickly for $99 or more. CalRecycle pays $0.40/lb to collectors, and selling working ones has finally started beating that

still: nobody wants your dad's 300-lb WEGA unfortunately
“I don't know any better way to put this…” says one Facebook Marketplace seller. “But I've never had more beautiful women show up at my door than the first week I started selling small CRTs."
