There’s a statewide recall of raw milk here in PA because it’s contaminated with Campylobacter jejuni.

Campylobacteriosis cases are linked to Meadow View Jerseys Dairy milk.

If only there was a way to avoid illness like that…

I see listeria, E. coli, and TB in their future. If we’re really lucky - campylobacteriosis in a place where they’re far from toilet facilities.

Even now, raw milk is where most Campylobacteriosis cases come from. This woman had a miscarriage from exactly such an infection.

Something like 4.4% of US adults (~11 million) report consuming raw milk. 1.6% (~4 million) say they do so frequently.

That's not a lot - but WAY too many.

The kind of credulous knuckle-draggers who like the idea of drinking raw milk are not going to navigate past the word campylobacteriosis.

If only Louis Pasteur was successful. Oh wait; he was!

At least 45 people in Idaho have tested positive for campylobacteriosis linked to raw milk, the state’s Department of Health and Welfare said.

Here are some great reasons why we pasteurize cows milk:

Pasteurization destroys harmful pathogens & viruses often found in raw milk, preventing severe illnesses like campylobacteriosis, salmonellosis, listeriosis, E. coli infections, tuberculosis, brucellosis, diphtheria, typhoid fever, & Q fever.

I once investigated an outbreak of campylobacteriosis where the vehicle of infection was water from an uncovered attic water tank. The pigeons weren't dead, but they were shitting in the tank.

Today's word is Campylobacter, a bacteria that can cause an illness in humans and animals called campylobacteriosis. One common way people get infected is by consuming raw (unpasteurized) milk or other unpasteurized dairy products. Campylobacter is not usually spread from one person to another.

“Casi 60 enfermos por consumir “leche cruda” en Idaho mientras se investiga un brote de campilobacteriosis”. 🤦🏻🤦🏻
Hay que ser irresponsables. Pasteur ya descubrió la forma de consumirla de forma segura, hasta que aparecieron estos chalados.

RFK, Jr., is trying to kill you, because he's a eugenicist, and thinks if you die from his bullshit, it's because you're weak.

He doesn't believe the bullshit he sells, either. He vaccinated his own kids.

General population?

Die for all he cares.

The issue is not how far the milk travels, though pasteurization absolutely extends shelf life - the issue is Strep, Tuberculosis, and Diptheria, which milk was an incredibly common vector for.

Even now, raw milk is where most Campylobacteriosis cases come from.

8/❓Why Raw Milk is Still a Debate
Despite historical evidence, raw milk has its advocates. But modern studies show it’s 840x more likely to cause illness than pasteurized milk. Diseases like E. coli , brucellosis, and campylobacteriosis are linked to raw milk consumption. The risks are undeniable.
