currently, and understand I have only gotten through about 2/3rds of the upstairs plushies, my 4 big organizational heaps are Canines, Non-Caniform Carnivorans, All Other Mammals, and Everything Else (birds, fish, reptiles, invertebrates, fantasy creatures, etc)

i think caniform refers to the jaw line and tooth pattern, having a longer pointed snout. their family is Mustelid.

It’s funny, I don’t generally feel a lot of kinship with caniform animals, I’m much more of a feliform gal, but wolverines and leopard seals are animals I have always found myself drawn to. Honorary feliforms, idc.
