Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

everyone reports carjackings because, even if you have lost all faith in the judicial system, you need to report to collect the insurance money. in fact, false reports of carjackings with the intent to commit insurance fraud, while rare, are not unheard of.

Bowser’s data said there were 31 carjackings over the same 20 day period last year and this year there were 4. However, over the 20 day period before the occupation, carjackings went from 11 to 4. They were already trending down by almost 50% year to year.
