In the case of the Dominion Rd bus lanes there is NO carparking loss for businesses in the Roskill town centre, but still C&R oppose it. Wild stuff. Public transport shouldn't be a culture war issue.

I'm at Puketāpapa Local Board and C&R are voting against decreasing congestion by expanding T3 and bus lanes. Claiming that a small loss of on street carparking for a few businesses is more important that travel time improvements of 3 minutes plus per bus passenger. C&R did same at Albert-Eden.

Is it just here that shopping centre carparking spaces seem to be getting more narrow, while the cars are getting wider? So many big SUVs! One either side of me yesterday & could hardly get my car door open. 🫤

Not in my wildest dreams did I think today would have such a happy outcome. Thank you to eveyone who shared, offered ideas, & those eagle eyes that spotted my bike in Newtown & let me know. I'm now utterly elated to be reunited with my bike! Pōneke is a community, & I'm ever grateful for it 💝
