See, the Latin word carrus was a borrowing. And it was a borrowing from Celtic (the Proto-Celtic reconstruction is *karros). And the Welsh word isn't a borrowing; it's directly inherited from Proto-Celtic! A clue to this is that its plural is ceir; for a borrowing we'd probably expect carau. 7/

Perhaps we can promote one of its natural predators: the low railway bridge (Pontus Bassus). While they normally feed on a healthy diet of rental trucks (Carrus Conductus), they would likely enjoy snacking upon a backhoe. There are fine specimens of the low underpass in London, ON and Durham, NC.
