The PCs talked more with Vincent Trench, learning about how he got in trouble with Hell. Vincent explained about the Cassalanters and the cult of Asmodeus (whose name Vincent carefully never said).
Then they asked him what he wanted to do about these problems.
The PCs saw that something bad was happening down the street, at Vincent Trench's office. There were goons lurking around outside, and Vincent (who they know to be a rakshasa) getting intimidated (or lectured?) within.
So they get involved.
The PCs spend a pile of money on magic items, and the wizard on inscribing new spells into his spellbook.
The fighter, who bought a tiny purple worm back in the first session, finds that the worm is ravenously hungry; a few days later it goes into a chrysalis.
The PCs talked more with Vincent Trench, learning about how he got in trouble with Hell. Vincent explained about the Cassalanters and the cult of Asmodeus (whose name Vincent carefully never said).
Then they asked him what he wanted to do about these problems.
So I did actually try to spur the PCs to more drastic action this time (against the Cassalanters) and they gave me a No Thank You. They want to make their careful plans and get their ducks in a row with their allies in the city.
The PCs gathered more information about the past and present situations of the Blue Alley from one of their employees, a fey who used to be a traps engineer for the Alley.
