The Salish Sea gives great clouds in spring! Rippling and roiling, and then a mere light misting on me and the gulls.
The hill under the clouds is where all the star-watchers set up their telescopes while I crouch over night-tidepools.

A rocky ocean cove is overshadowed by a dramatic roiling cloud display, dark grey horizontal waves of cloud on the horizon are spun into a swirl mid sky, backlit a luminous primrose yellow by the obscured setting sun. Puffy rainclouds above are interspersed with glimpses of enough blue sky to make all the aerial drama seem cheerful and not oppressive. The ocean is flat, no sign of the huge storm waves that blasted chunks of driftwood 7m onto the footpath, on the lower right corner of the photo.
