I was involved in an NSF-funded REU program at NC State a few years ago. Here's a short video featuring the students in the program talking about how valuable it was for them in terms of developing their skills and helping them embark on scientific careers. Cancelling programs like this is senseless

I have many criticisms of CDSA, but this aligns with my expectations
The CDSA pre petition process is done to activate field and PAC support and the chapter doesn't endorse non-socialists. In a hypothetical where two viable socialists were running I would assume we'd wait until after petitioning but that has not happened yet.

Excited to see progressive competitors enter the race for the 44th Ward. The ward doesn’t need to be served by an heir apparent but someone who represents the interests of this amazing, progressive neighborhood.

The stats/metrics lit usually distinguishes on basis of the asymptotic regime: panel is fixed T, N -> infty, TSCS is fixed N, T -> infty. if both T and N assumed to go to infty, then not an agreed upon term afaik.

Anyway. High emotions at the court house with many supporters crying or frustrated that the judge can so clearly acknowledge the harms caused by the CDSA, and then find people who push back against the CDSA guilty.
