Raise your glasses to those who answered correctly. 🍷
This is a wine cooler or cellarette, dating to around 1770.
This can be found in the study at Belton House, Lincolnshire but do you know what it is?

Those of you of a certain age will certainly recall Grace Jones's 1980 hit "Warm Cellarette."

When I posted this earlier, I forgot to mention that I learned a new word today!

I gay cackled, and I haven't even had a chance to Google "cellarette" yet.

I'm fonder of Prince's 1982 hit "Little Red Cellarette."

Also, it's from The Damask Cheek that I learned the word “cellarette”: “a movable cabinet or container, often made of wood, designed to store and secure alcoholic beverages.”

Need a side table for my living room and thinking of reproducing this cellarette. I haven't yet tried doing inlays, but, theoretically at least, it should be pretty doable with a router and guide. I like the reeded moulding and the brass casters too.
