accidentally closed a file but had work unsaved?
Check the "CELSYS" folder in Windows CELSYS> CLIPStudioPaintData> (DocumentBackup) or (InitialBackup)
It might be there ♥

Can't believe I used to go to bat for CSP so much back in the day. Fuck Celsys. They've been so shit as a company since they started their subscription service.
CSP news ( #clipstudio ):
apparently admins decided to crack down insanely on the asset store and proceeded to delete a TON of assets, including assets that didn't actually violate the current TOS.
Supposedly according to reddit, staff are saying nothing spicer than hand holding will be allowed.

I don't think a petition is going to do much. HOWEVER, You can send requests for a native Linux client to Celsys directly via their support page specifically the "Requests" section.

looks like Celsys is starting to actually restore some of the CSP assets they hid now, but they still haven't like... ACTUALLY explained themselves. i wish they would just be fucking honest about what exactly they're doing, why they're doing it, and what the end goal is

So now that I know Microsoft, Adobe, and Celsys support webp nowadays, what do we still have against it? Is it just phones left that don't fully support them?
I got two quote tweets stating this, and they're not wrong. Webp should be the image fileype of the future, but Microslop and Adobe are dragging their feet implementing support for it. It's a lossless file type like .png that takes a fraction of the space.
Probably an unpopular opinion but I don't care.
Stop being mad at web services using WebP. The whole point of this format is to make websites lighter.
If a format that has been around for more than a decade is "unusable" to you, be mad at your OS for not supporting it, not at webdevs

i will say: historically Celsys have been awful communicators, and it really seems like nobody knows what's going on right now. they have also responded to user outcry positively before. this could still resolve ok but i think it's important to let them know we see it and we're fucking mad

Why is CSP so dull… I hope Celsys does something about it. But also this is a great resource 🙇🙏
Deleted the last post. Celsys support responded within 2 hours and just straight up removed my install limit for my 2.0 EX license. I am very grateful but still disappointed in having DRM and install limits at all in software I paid for.

clip studio is legitimately the only software keeping me from moving fully to linux right now because everything i have ever drawn for my games is trapped in .csp files - like without clip studio all my sprites would just be bad photos of pencil sketches lol
