In Aztec mythology, Mictlantecuhtli is a god of the dead and the king of Mictlan, the lowest and northernmost section of the underworld. He was depicted as a blood-spattered skeleton or a person wearing a toothy skull.

Oh shit, if you decide to come around día de muertos (november 2) that is one of the coolest times to visit, many places around the city decorate with ofrendas and cempazúchil flowers, it really feels like an ongoing party
