Painfully ironic that despite being told by Republicans and centrists for over a decade that Muslims wouldn't support people like me, the most prominent politicians standing up for trans people in America are all Muslim.
Yesterday, in a hostile 60 Minutes interview with a Bari Weiss acolyte who once called trans kids a “social contagion,” El-Sayed refused to budge on trans rights.
“A failure to show up and fight for that right is a failure to show up and fight for your own.”

And remember, tomorrow, do not concede an inch to the centrists. progressives won this and the centrists will fall in line or perish.
tl;dr- do not alter your progressive ideals to match moderate democrats, because they will always be a symptom of the current power. when progressive politics becomes the power *they* will change to meet the moment. MAKE them chase you.
