That’s not what the article says or proves. It is a very simplified analysis that says ceterus parings additional load reduces cost as it allows fixed cost to be spread across more customers. That’s unsurprising but doesn’t account for the recent surge in DC capacity and its consequences.

Wat hij eveneens niet meeneemt is dat migranten integreren en het opleidingsniveau van opeenvolgende generaties migranten stijgen. Hij behandelt deze gegevens als ceterus paribus.

I dont know how else to say this or where. I'm in shock and I'm both numb and devastated right now

last night my best friend, and one of the first friends I ever made in the Fandom, @deverus.bsky.social (previously ceterus) passed away. he was surrounded by loved ones and went without fear.

same and I think it's basically all because of how limited the resources for schools are and how strong the conservative push to unbundle those resources is. Ryan's ceterus paribus claim then holds because it's just a resource prioritization Q

‘Ceterus paribus’ thanks autocarrot. The article notes that new fixed cost may need to be added to service new demand. As it covers 2019-2024, and given that there’s usually a lag between increase in demand and investment in power network and generation capacity, I would not expect to see impact yet

Sewage much harder to solve than waste yeah…but also either way increasing population => increasing volume, ceterus paribus

In the early days of the Information Age, GenX was sold a similar argument about productivity. While it may have been true ceteris paribus, ceterus is NEVER paribus, particularly when oligarchs are in full-on wealth extraction mode.

ceterus paribus, sure, but I do want to lean in to the example of the autoscrolling feed. like social media became all-consuming in a way that blogs didn't because it facilitates compulsive reading and refreshing. the old blogging model might have been more satisfying and less addicting.

Would be interesting to see how long the US would have taken to collapse, Vs now, ceterus paribus, had it never psychoticlly started the "supersizing" mania.

Ceterus paribus: 19% of federall work force is African American. Katy is not a statistician.

Yes I understand the economics behind rent freezing ceterus paribus. A rent freeze on stabilized/controlled housing is necessary in NYC specifically because the rent control board is captured by landlords and has hiked rents in the extreme despite the testimony of tenants.

Ceterus paribus is a thing, and we can plausibly regulate multiple dimensions at once

You could potentially even index them!

“How can we do this? The only way to extrapolate thus is under the assumption that the system would counterfactually continue to obey (a subset of) the same physical laws that it does now in the actual world were the system to exist indefinitely (ceterus paribus).“ — Hardcastle (1995)

Yes. It is. I think it is illegal in USA too but ?
Manipulating the market isn't how it works in theory but is actually how it operates in practice. (But sigh, many economists forecast from theory +ceterus paribus)

I wish I had started saving a year ago to buy a new car. By my calculations, ceterus paribus, I have another 13 months before I can make the purchase. So I get to watch as it gets worse
