chalkwife recently sent me her new, fantastic emogaze EP on AOTY.

'curtos lapsos' dropped this past weekend, and the alternative metal influence is intriguingly unique.

Any fans of sonhos tomam conta will get a lot out of these 20 minutes.

In December, chalkwife sent me an EP of hers. It was a great mix of the lo-fi emogaze sound and alt-metal.

Only a month later, she's dropped a full album, titled 'shinjuku.' The production's notably stronger, and the writing's far more intricate.

:3 Do you have any music recs from your country? I only have a few Brazilian artists (chalkwife, Adorável Cliche, Salvanini, Verocai), and I want to know more!

Impactada pelas enchentes no Rio Grande do Sul em 2024, #chalkwife utilizou #shoegaze, #posthardcore e #emo para enfrentar seus traumas e se reconstruir em seu novo álbum #shinjuku.
