Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Samantha is at Vienna's flat, sitting on the sofa, watching TV. From the TV comes dialogue: "Twelve Hair Stylists. Ten Weeks. All of them in the pursuit of love, while also competing for a cash prize to open their dream salon. Fashion, competition, romance, betrayal. All this and more in this week's episode of Cut to the Chase." Vienna is sat nearby on the beanbag, playing on her phone. She looks up at the TV to say "Ugh, reality TV. That stuff's so lame." Samantha says "Hey now, they aren't all bad. The editing in this one doesn't go overboard and it has a lot of really nice genuine human moments, too." Vienna scoffs and says "They just make them to feel that way. S'basically just a fictional story with no grounding in reality. What's the point in watching something like that?" She then leans over and enthusiastically says "Let's watch The Court of the Early Burdened Wyrm instead! I hear the new season has a bit where they joust on griffins inside a tornado!" End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile and Layla are stood chatting with hot drinks behind the counter at Repeat 1 Records. Halloween decorations are dotted around on surfaces nearby. Layla says "You know that one conceit of Halloween - how it's supposed to be like, when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest or whatever? Makes me think, lots of people like the thought of loved ones being able to watch over them and all. What if they did but without omniscience? Like whenever someone does something a bit weird by themselves the spirits of their departed family are like, super judging them." Chamomile says "Oh, goodness! Never considered that..." The scene changes, Chamomile is now at home in her sitting room, a few Halloween decorations also up here. She's looking upwards and around her as she says "Um... if any loved ones n' ghosts and such are in the room right now... The song I'm about to hum probably sounds bad, but it's because I'm doing all the backing vocals and instruments in my head, okay? Okay." She then starts vacuuming, scat-singing away. A caption then says "Meanwhile, in a plane of existence where incomprehensible entities not of this world are eternally confined, unbeknownst to anyone". We see the same scene, shrouded in a blurry deep red lighting and particles, a soft blue glow around Chamomile, and a huge, fleshy demon-like creature four times her size, taking up most of the room, covered in tentacles and eyes and mouths and other strange anatomy, but otherwise sat in a human-like knees-up pose with its hands covering where its ears would be, and a sense of discomfort from what appears to be its face. It yells "Gah, the infernal human is singing that awful nonsense song again. I wish I could understand English so I knew what she said beforehand." End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile and her dog Phantom burst into The Cubby, outdoors is a warm sunset. Chamomile has orange leaves and twigs here and there on her person, mostly sticking out of her hair, and patches of dried dirt stains on her clothes and even a bit on her cheek. She says "Hey Bri! I'll have a creamy coffee with the best terrible seasonal flavour syrup you have! Pumpkin Spice! Sticky Toffee! Whatever! I need some warm orangey-brown stuff in me, because I am feeling autumnal today!!" She briefly pauses then says "Please." Brianna looks shocked, saying "You look the part too! You get dragged through a bush or what?" Chamomile tilts her head to one side with a big grin, saying "Hehe, we went for a walk in the park, and someone had to dive in to every big pile of leaves she saw just to roll around and bark her head off!" Brianna looks down towards Phantom, who looks back up at her, calm, cheerful, and notably without any twigs or leaves or dirt on her. Brianna says "...So why's Phantom perfectly clean?" Chamomile crosses her arms, and with a serious expression says "I don't believe I've withheld any information that would make that a necessary question, Bri." End of comic.

Thanks so much for reading #ChamomileComic! 500 comics!! More than 499, can say that much. Here's a new cover art for the occasion.
It's hard to know where to go from here, but posting the 501st comic, next Sunday, seems like a good start.

[ #jezmmart | #pinup | #characterart | #originalcharacter ]
Cover page style illustration for my comic series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile herself is front and center, taking up most of the image, posing energetically with arms in the air and a big smile, with the comic's logo behind her head. To the left and right of her in the image, a bit further back, are her friends, Samantha, Vienna, Brianna and Layla, her dog, Phantom, and The Seagull, with her pet rock in its mouth. Much smaller in the image, between her legs in the background, we also see tertiary characters Tamsin, Newt, Layla's dog Jamila, Mrs. Beaufort and Pip.

The first third of a comic from my weekly series, Chamomile, which continues into the next images. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. Piper is now cradling the baby, and gazing fondly down at it as she says "We've had her a few days now... It was a great bit, but we can't keep calling her "Guest Room" forever. Any new ideas?" Basil rests one hand on Piper's shoulder as he says "Oh, yes, actually! Just look up! I think the answer's been above our heads this whole time." He is pointing upwards, his hand extending slightly out of the panel to literally point at the comic's title banner that appears above most comics in the series. Piper is looking up too, and says "Ah... "Chamomile"! Yes, I love it!" The framing of the scene then looks upwards a bit in the next panel, revealing that in reality, Basil was pointing at a decorative illustration they have hung on the wall, titled "Flowers for Tea", listing and illustrating from left to right: Rose, Jasmine, Chamomile, Lavender. Basil says "I was pointing as Jasmine, actually. But... hmm, when you say "Chamomile" out loud... It does have a ring to it!" Piper says "Her friends can call her "Millie" for short!" Basil says "Yes! That'll absolutely catch on!" We finally see a close-up of the baby in Piper's arms as Basil also rests a hand lovingly on her. It clearly resembles Chamomile, but with a rounder head, absolutely huge, glistening innocent eyes and a tiny faint smile, rosy cheeks, and a bald head but for three tiny signature curls of hair. Piper says "Ahh... Our lovely Chamomile." The comic continues in the next image. The comic continues: After a big empty white space on the page, the flashback ends as we cut to grown-up, adult Chamomile, who is sat on the sofa at her parents' house, with an expression of slightly disgruntled and shocked disbelief. The panel size and location of Chamomile's face on the page is exactly the same as baby Chamomile from the previous page, to heighten the juxtapositon of the scene change. From out of sight, her mother, Piper, says "And there you have it!" The comic continues in the next image. The comic continues: Likewise to Chamomile having grown-up, we see Piper is her older present day self now, sitting on the other sofa opposite Chamomile, with a mug of tea in her hand. Chamomile gives a grimaced smile as she says "Um... thanks, Mum. I was kind of asking about the story of my birth though, not my conception! Yeesh!" Piper looks to the side wistfully as she recalls, saying "Oh! Let's see... A scary moment or two, but otherwise a relatively smooth hospital birth to be thankful for, all things considered. Lots of waiting around." She pauses, then continues, "...Yeah. Not much else to say." Piper then says "Anyway! Here I thought you young folk were all liberated and comfortable with honest discussions of sex." Chamomile leans back on the sofa, resting her head on one hand and blushing a little, saying "Yeah, I thought so too, and then you try to put it into practice..." Cheerfully, as she casually puts her mug of tea to her lips, Piper says "Say, how's your little side-hustle going? The one where you charge for photos of yourself in your undies on the internet. My precious baby girl." Chamomile leans forward suddenly, completely red-faced now, bunching herself up as she yells "Mum!" End of comic.

Blank image to facilitate a better layout for this post on Bluesky. The first half of a comic from my weekly series, Chamomile, which continues into the next image. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. Basil has shifted to the side of the bed as Piper kneels on it, leaning towards him. She says "Look, I'm just thinking practically here! You'll have your recovery period from the surgery and all, and who knows when we'll next get an opportunity to really let loose?" Basil smiles and says "I mean, I don't disagree, but... the day before my vasectomy? Isn't that tempting fate a bit?" Piper says "We've got thingies in our bedroom!" The perspective focuses on just Basil, with Piper out of sight, as he points a finger up and knowingly says "Yes yes, but no method is 100% effec-" He is cut off by Piper's thrown bra landing on his face, covering his eyes. He pauses for a moment, lowering his hand and saying nothing. He then begins to say "Well," the rest of his dialogue cut-off. The comic continues in the next image. The comic continues: The time has changed to a very clearly different day, as the sun beams into the Guest Room. Basil and Piper are sitting next to each other on the bed again, wearing different clothes, Basil's moustache has grown significantly, and Basil is now cradling a swaddled baby with three recognisable tufts of curly hair poking out of the blanket. The two are staring into space ahead of them, saying nothing. Basil then turns to Piper and cheerfully says "Alright, once more then, for luck! Ha ha!" Piper gives a grimacing smile, saying "So, quadruple-checking; we're definitely going with," and she quotes, "Doesn't getting pregnant now feel like a sign? Let's just do it!"? end quote. "...Not," she quotes again, "Three is Plenty"? End quote. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. Piper is stood looking out the rainy window, and looks to the side, saying "Goodness, so quiet." Basil, who is relaxing with his eyes closed on the bed still, says "Mmm... We already said that, though." Piper says "Yeah, but still. Can you remember the last time we had the house to ourselves like this? Really is strange." Basil says "What time are they expecting you at work again?" Piper says "Not for a couple more hours." Basil says "Ah, that's nice." Piper turns away to stare out the window again, and after a pause, says "...House to ourselves..." Basil says "Hm?" Piper turns around, with a focused look on her face, as if having an intense thought, as she repeats "...House to ourselves..." Basil says "...Yes?" Piper, having put her mug down, slams her hands down on the edge of the bed, leaning towards Basil, biting her lip with an excited look on her face, blushing with little puffs of steam coming from her head, as she says much louder now, "...House, to ourselves...!" Basil nonchalantly looks down at his mug as he says "Ohhh, now I remember why we separated out these tea bags from our usuals in the cupboard. They always get you like this." End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. Basil and Piper have taken their teas into the guest room and are sitting on the bed together. Rain-drizzled light from the window casts across the otherwise dim room. Basil says "It was nice that we were both able to get the morning to see Jay off together. Such a sensitive little one compared to his brothers. I'm sure he appreciated it." Piper says "Well, you were off work this week for your surgery anyway, so at least only I had to wrangle it." Piper rests her head on her hand and lets out a deep sigh. Basil says "What's wrong?" Piper says "Oh, your stupid joke about "Guest Room". Why'd you have to make her a girl?" Piper cradles her tea and continues with a melancholy smile. "I love our boys with everything I have, but... I dunno. I wanted to be a Mum for so long, but I admit, in my imagination... I always had a daughter. So I kinda hoped, just a little bit... Ahh... It doesn't really matter though, does it? It's a horrible thing to say really..." Basil smiles and says "No, no, I understand exactly how you mean it. It's a nice thought." Basil looks up in thought and points a finger as he says "I know we've discussed all this at length, but it's technically not too late if-". Piper cuts him off, looking frantic with an intense expression, leaning towards him, nearly spilling her tea as she criss-crosses her arms to claw-grip Basil's thigh with her free hand, quickly yelling "Nope three is plenty!" as one long word. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. We see Basil and Piper's silhouettes in the warm light of their front room through the window from outside, where the rain continues to pour. Piper is sat on the sofa as Basil hands her a mug of tea, saying "Here you go! We need to buy some more of our usual tea though. Only had that other blend at the back of the cupboard." Piper says "That's okay. Actually though, why did you say chamomile would be "fitting" for today?" Basil says "You don't remember? We tried it for the first time in that little café during a storm just like this. Years and years ago. Can never remember the name of it..." Piper says "Oh, I do remember that now! That was nice. The Cubby wasn't it? We should go there more often." The point of view changes to inside the room with them, pointing up towards the ceiling in a warped perspective, causing a great deal of negative space in the image. Piper says "Wow... I'm really noticing how quiet the house is, now..." Basil mumbles in agreement. The sound of the rain drums on the window behind them. They go upstairs and look down the hallway, where bedroom doors all have little placards to denote their owners. Piper says "Look at those empty bedrooms... Riley's already in Year 6... Hubert's in Year 3... and now, little Jay is starting Reception. It's all gone by so fast." Basil says "Piper! Aren't you forgetting our fourth and most precious child? Our sweet little girl, who all adore?" He then gestures to another room that was previously out of sight, which also has a placard to denote its purpose. Basil says "Guest Room has feelings too, you know! We should know, she complains about what we named her all the time!" Piper laughs. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: The scene from last time continues. The couple arrive home and begin to take their jackets off, it's now very clear that they are Chamomile's parents, much younger than the previous storyline that they appeared in. Piper says "Oof, sorry about that. Just getting in from that rain, I feel a bit better already. I think I fancy just a regular tea though if it's all the same to you." Basil replies "Of course! Did you want a minute to get settled?" Piper says "Nah that's fine, you can put the kettle on now." Basil pauses for a beat before saying "...Alright!". Piper quickly turns and in a panic says "Wait, no! Let me rephrase-" But Basil cheerfully exclaims "...But I don't think it'll suit me!" "Basil!" Piper whines, raising a finger but with a cringing smile. She says "You promised me you'd at least retire that one joke!" Basil throws his hands up in surrender and looks away, smiling as he says "It's just so hard to resist! I'm definitely working on it, I promise!" End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: It's a very dark morning, sun smothered in thick clouds, heavy rain pouring. The voice of an unseen character says "We'll see you later sweetheart! Be brave! You can always go find your older brothers at lunchtime if you want to. We're sure you'll have a fun first day and make friends though. Love you!" The scene is now revealed, a drop-off at the school gates of Bay Valley East Primary School, several parents present and kids walking in. In the foreground, a couple, the source of the dialogue before, walk away, a woman and a man both in rain coats. The woman has black hair poking out of her hood, the man has glasses and curly brown hair. The woman, looking back towards the school gates says "Goodness... that's that then. All our children, grown up enough to be at school now." The man jovially says "What a day for it, too!" while adjusting his rain hat. The scene changes to a high street. There's a red telephone box, an electronics store advertising a desktop computer with CRT monitor as "The home office multimedia future", a shop called "Worthwools", advertising Pick and/or Mix for 39p per 100 grams and a music sale that includes both CDs and cassettes! The man says "I thought I'd be much more emotional. Certainly was the first time... and yet, because we've been though it so many times now, there's a funny mundanity about it today instead, don't you think?" He turns to the woman and says "Oh, but it's really pouring isn't it? You'd think the both of us actually were bawling our eyes out!" We then see that the woman has indeed got comical amounts of tears streaming from her sopping wet eyes as she sniffs and sniffles, saying nothing. The man stammers "...A... ah..." The two continue walking, and the man says "Come on then, home and a hot drink for us, I think. Ha ha, tell you what'd be fitting for the day. We've got that box of herbal tea still. Shall we make a nice chamomile?" End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile is at the beach in swimwear and a sheer white skirt, on a clear summer's day with her dog, Phantom. Chamomile is stood ankle-deep in the water, leaning forward and patting her legs, attempting to beckon Phantom into the water, who is still stood on the sand. She says "C'mon Phantom! The water's so nice and cool! Come join me!" Phantom enters the sea next to Chamomile, looking content. Chamomile says "There we go! So brave!! We're just having a little paddle, don't worry! Nothing to be afraid of-" but she is quite literally cut-off as a large crashing wave approaches behind them, overlapping the end of her speech bubble. It crashes down beneath their feet, causing them both to lose their balance and topple backwards into the shallow waters. We then see a newspaper article, with the headline "Main sands at local beach closed due to ghost sighting." The report reads "Residents were evacuated after two ambigious, haunting figures emerging from the sea were sighted by multiple witnesses at the weekend. When asked for comment on what procedures and actions would be put in place to secure the safety and wellbeing of the local residents, the Bay Valley Police Commissioner said: "Aaaaaaaaa!! What are we supposed to do about that!? Too scary!!!" In the meantime"... The article trails off the page. Next to the article is a blurry black and white photo of Chamomile and Phantom, stood in the water, absolutely dripping wet, Phantom's fluffy white coat now soaked and drooped down over her like a classic sheet ghost, while Chamomile's long, normally curly and full-flowing black hair is also soaked, weighed down and covering most of her face and upper body, also giving her a modern ghostly appearance. Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile and Sam are in the second room of The Cubby, away from the counter. Sam is just sitting down next to Chamomile holding two hot drinks, leaning over her shoulder. Chamomile is reading a celebrity gossip magazine, saying "This'll be fun. "Do you have the perfect friendship circle? You should aim to have one of each type offriend in our list!"" Sam says "Sounds daft. You don't actually buy into these kinda mags do you?" Chamomile says "Nah, just looking! Someone left it behind on the other table!" Sam says "...Ahhhh, alright then. Go on." Sam sits down as they begin looking at the article together. Chamomile reads out "The forever friend: you couldn't get rid of them if you tried." Sam says "Hmm, could be me, but I'll give it to Bri, you two have known each other since you were kids and been each other's rocks through all sorts of ups and downs." Chamomile reads "The like-minded friend, who encourages your best self." Sam says "Again, maybe me. But you see so much more of Layla at work, you both share a certain joyful optimism, and I know she's quite passionate about always wanting the best for people who live kindly." Chamomile reads "The antagonist friend, who will gently test your resolve." Sam says "I do push you sometimes, but that one is kinda Vi all over, huh? She respects you more than she lets on though, sometimes she's actually quite jealous of your innate lust for life. Uh... I assume. She deffo didn't make me swear an oath to never share that or anything." While looking towards Sam with a sly expression, Chamomile then reads "The busybody friend, who's always fully in the know on everyone's business with or without their approval." Sam says "Mmm... nope. Got nothing. Maybe you can be that one? Bit of a reach though. What's next? "Super cool friend"? "Perfect advice friend"? There's gotta be one for me." End of comic.

Chamomile covers a side of her face to whisper to Brianna, saying "Be cool Bri, I'm sneaking some outside food into the cinema, it's in my back pocket. Plan is, if anybody notices, I can just make a scene about them staring at my butt." Brianna says "Uh, okay." Chamomile aggressively whispers "I said, be cool!!" The cinema staff member scans the ticket on Chamomile's phone and points to their right, saying "You're in Screen 7, just head down and it's around the corner." Chamomile and Brianna arrive at their seats, Chamomile sits down forcefully with her fists triumphantly pumped in the air in front of her, excitedly saying "Yes, success!" Fists still in the air, she relaxes her shoulders and gets an expression of distressed realisation as she says "Ohh... I... probably shouldn't have sat down right away." Brianna smiles, saying "Aw, you can't have ruined it that much, surely? What did you bring?" Chamomile turns to Bri and says "A mille-feuille." Brianna stares in concerned disbelief. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: In an absolutely identical manner as the previous comic, Chamomile enters The Cubby and begins cheerfully speaking to Vienna, who is behind the counter. Chamomile says "Hey Vi, if you were stuck in a 24-hour time loop, what would you try? Like, to escape it?" Vienna turns around from what she's doing and says "...You asked me that same question yesterday." Chamomile lookes ecstatic, yelling "Oh! Thank goodness! I'm finally out!" Vienna gives a grimaced smile as she quietly says "...Alright, I'll humour the bit..." At normal volume, she then says "You've been stuck in a time loop, huh?" Chamomile says "Yeah, it was pretty harrowing, but I grew a lot as a person." Chamomile tilts her head in concern as she says "You don't seem very excited." Vienna says "Sorry, it's not so interesting from outside the loop." Chamomile says "Aw, here I was thinking that'd be a really novel perspective, compared to how time loop stories usually work!" Vienna says "Seems not." Chamomile replies "Yeah..." Vienna folds her arms and says "So, what broke you out, anyway?" Chamomile cheerfully says "Finally made a doctor's appointment I keep putting off." Vienna says "Ah, yeah. That'll do it." End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile enters The Cubby and begins cheerfully speaking to Vienna, who is behind the counter. Chamomile says "Hey Vi, if you were stuck in a 24-hour time loop, what would you try? Like, to escape it?" Vienna turns around from what she's doing and says "Hmm... do I continue to age or can I exist there indefinitely? If aging isn't an issue, I'd just hang a little while. Play all the games I've been meaning to find time for. Well, the ones I can beat in a single day, at least. Save data an' all." Chamomile gives a defeated smile and says "Fine, you're aging. What would you do then?" Vienna confidently responds "Ahh, still wouldn't be a huge deal to take advantage of the situation, maybe just for a month or two. There's usually a big moral lesson to learn and act on to break out of those things. I'd probably naturally gather clues as to what that is if I spend that long in the loop, then I'll just knock it out quickly once I'm done with my gaming backlog." Chamomile now gives a completely stern expression as she says "Okay, it happens on a day where no matter what actions you take, Sam doesn't fancy having sex." Vienna drops her calm demeanor, now deadly serious as she slams her hand down on the counter and raises a finger with her other hand, saying "Right, first course of action: 24 Good Deeds in 24 Hours. If that doesn't work: Convert to various religions and repent to their deity. Can try one each cycle. If that doesn't work, it'll be time to break out the big guns: Fetal position, panic attack and hope for some kind of surreal, internalised battle-of-the-mind sequence where I figure it all out." Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile and Layla are sat together at a casual dining restaurant, with food and drinks on the table in front of them. Chamomile has a burger, Layla has little bowls of tapas. The server nearby, empty tray in her hand, cheerfully asks "Need anything else? Any sauces?" Chamomile replies "We're good, thank you!" The server says "Great, enjoy!" Chamomile and Layla sit completely still as she leaves. Then, slowly, in unison, lean forward and to the side, looking off as if tracking her, still continuing to not touch their food. Their heads are almost down to the table's surface before they spring back up, Chamomile turning to Layla and quietly saying "Okay, she's at another table, we're safe." Layla picks up her knife and fork, quietly saying "Go go go." The two tuck in, Chamomile picking up her burger and taking a big bite, Layla putting a forkful of food in her mouth too. Suddenly, from a nearby archway, a different server suddenly pops their head around the corner and enthusastically says "Hi, how is everything!?" With surprised, embarrassed faces and attempts to cover their mouths full of food that they can barely keep in or talk through, Chamomile and Layla completely muffledly yell "It's all perfect!" and "Lovely thank you!" respectively. End of comic. Extra notes follow: Their muffled dialogue in the final panel is denoted by the speech bubbles being blurry, covered in bits of food and with the words misspelled to add extra U, H and F sounds throughout, the exact transcriptions being "Itsuhll perfucht" and "Luhfvly Thuhnk Yhou" respectively.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Layla and Chamomile are at work together. Layla, who is stood behind the counter, says "Could you do a quick sweep out the back in a min?" Chamomile, stood on the shop floor in the foreground, has a cheerful expression of slight grief as she says "Bleh, I hate sweeping." Layla leans on the counter with her elbows, hands pushed up into her cheeks, and in a goofy voice with shiny eyes and a cheeky expression, says "Bwut if you hate sweeping, what do you do when you'we feewing tiwed?" (If you are using a screen reader, and that sentence is incomprehensible, to clarify, she really said: "But if you hate sweeping, what do you do when you're feeling tired?" but as part of her goofy voice, all the R's and L's in the sentence were replaced with W's, including a superflous W added to "but", thus retroactively making the "sweeping" in the sentence actually be "sleeping".) Layla continues to lean on the counter, staring at Chamomile with her proud, silly expression. Chamomile just stares back in silence, her expression unseen. Denoted by a large gap between panels, a significant amount of time later, Chamomile, Layla and Newt are now sat in the management office, next to a tablet computer in an internet call on the desk nearby. The internet call is to "Repeat 1 Records People Department", and the speaker says "Right, the time is 12:37. We are now starting this formal grievance and misconduct meeting. Acting as note-taker will be..." The dialogue trails off. Newt is on a laptop, hands readied on the keyboard. Chamomile is sat with her hands together calmly on her lap, staring at Layla with an entirely serious neutral expression. Layla is sat clasping her hands together more informally, head down, eyes closed in shame. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Brianna and Vienna are at work in The Cubby. Brianna lifts up one of the cake display lids, revealing a single slice left inside. She says "This last slice of carrot cake is getting chucked tomorrow morning. Unless you want it, you can offer it to those customers." Vienna plates the cake and places the plate on the table in front of the two customers, saying "Here, take this, I have no need for it, and I'm sure it will help you on your quest." Brianna smirks and says "Vi, you know we all appreciate the effort it takes for you to run the game... but you can't just start saying stuff like that outside of Daydreams & Dangers sessions to prove that it's a normal way people talk." Vienna replies sternly "Doing unique dialogue for all the townsfolk is harder than it seems, okay!? You lot talk to everyone!" End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile is sat on the sofa in a tiny crop top and shorts, looking sweaty and uncomfortable with a closed book on the arm rest next to her. Phantom is snoozing on the floor, flopped on her side. Chamomile is pulling the small crop-top outwards with one hand and directing the air from a small handheld electric fan towards the underside of her boobs as she lets out a very long grumbling moan, before following up with just saying "Hot." She stops fanning herself for a moment to observe Phantom on the floor, saying "Aww, Phanny! I bet you're even hotter with that fluffy coat of yours. I'm gonna buy you the big cooling mat we saw at the pet shop." The scene changes to Chamomile now in the pet shop, holding the box for a cooling mat that she's just taken off the display in front of her. It's marked as Size L, for large dog breeds. She glances to the side, spotting the next product along. It's another cooling mat, this one size XS, for toy breeds, kittens and puppies. Still holding the large mat's box in one hand, she picks up two of the extra small mat boxes, and scrunches her face a little, glancing up to the side in thought. The scene returns to Chamomile's living room, where she is now sitting comfortably reading her book, her handheld fan now on the arm rest pointed at her from a distance. Discarded packaging for the three mats is on the floor nearby. In the foreground, Phantom seems to be contently laying on her large cooling mat. Chamomile appears to have stuffed the two extra small cooling mats up her crop-top, one under each boob. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: The scene continues from the previous comic. Samantha emerges from the toilet of The Cubby and says "Hey Cammie! Oh yay, you brought Phantom!" Vienna says "Reminds me; I meant to ask. Weren't you tempted to rename her once she became yours? We could've all pitched names together." Chamomile is sat at the coffee bar now, with Phantom happily laying on the floor behind her. Chamomile smiles and replies "Nah! It's a nice name, and I was used to it already. Besides, with all the love in my heart, Vi, some of your ideas for appropriate pet names are, uh... Completely unhinged." Samantha looks concerned and says "What's wrong with Vi's pet naming? Her cats have cute names!" Chamomile grimaces and says "Really!? You think Pestilence and Famine are cute?" Samantha says "Huh!? No... Vi's cats are called Pez and Minnie..." Samantha stares in silence for a moment as she thinks. She suddenly turns to Vienna with an expression of disgusted laughter as she yells "Oh my god, Vi!". Vienna looks amused as she says "Wait, wait. What did you think Pez and Minnie were short for?" Samantha replies "I dunno! Could've been... Pince-nez Glasses and... Miniature Friend, or... something..!" Vienna glances aside to Chamomile and quietly says "...Okay, well, my suggestions for Phantom would've definitely been better than those." Chamomile quietly replies "Yes, I think so too." End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile enters The Cubby with her dog, Phantom, Vienna is serving behind the coffee bar. Chamomile says "Hey Vi!" before quietly saying "Go on Phantom! In we go!" Vienna says "So you do still have a dog. Was starting to think it was gonna be like when you made a big deal about getting glasses, then hardly wore them." Chamomile says "I remember to wear them at home sometimes! Besides, I have them right here, in case of emergency, see?" She pulls a glasses case out of the little shoulder bag she is wearing. She puts the glasses on and makes a silly grin while holding her fingers to the frames, saying "Oh wow, nobody told me wearing contacts and glasses at the same time gives you x-ray vision! That's a cute bra, Vi!" Vienna, who is wearing an opaque t-shirt, looks unimpressed and says "X-ray vision doesn't work that way, Cammie. And thanks, Sam bought me it." Chamomile slouches with a defeated smile, saying "Um, okay. I appreciate the scientific correction on my jokey made-up x-ray vision, I guess." She then suddenly bolts up with a desperate expression as she says "I mean- wait, what? I wanna see." From out of sight, Vienna says "No". End of comic.

[ #jezmmart | #originalcharacter | #comics ]
A horizontal format comic of three panels, in the shape of a long banner advert, featuring my original characters Chamomile and Brianna. Detailed Description Follows: In the leftmost panel, Brianna has her fingers pressed to her brow looking bothered as she walks away from Chamomile, saying "...This is definitely going to confuse people." Chamomile has her hands on her hips with a defiant expression, saying "Don't be so negative Bri! It's good to embrace different cultures!" In the middle panel, Brianna says "I get that, but I really think it's gonna be confusing." In the rightmost panel, Chamomile cheerfully says "We're advertising on a comic that reads right-to-left, so I figured, y'know, let's be respectful and observe the local custom!" Brianna is approaching Chamomile as she says "Hey Cammie! What are you-" She looks concerned as she continues "...Wait a sec, something feels off here. Like, temporally." End of comic. To the right of this is the comic's cover page art with the URL of jezmmart.com/cc, concluding the banner. If unclear, the goof here is that the comic was actually supposed to be read right-to-left. The rest of this alt text will repeat the comic's description but when read that way: In the first panel, Brianna is approaching Chamomile as she says "Hey Cammie! What are you-" She looks concerned as she continues "...Wait a sec, something feels off here. Like, temporally." Chamomile cheerfully says "We're advertising on a comic that reads right-to-left, so I figured, y'know, let's be respectful and observe the local custom!" In the second panel, Brianna says "I get that, but I really think it's gonna be confusing." In the third panel, Chamomile has her hands on her hips with a defiant expression, saying "Don't be so negative Bri! It's good to embrace different cultures!" Brianna has her fingers pressed to her brow looking bothered as she walks away from Chamomile, saying "...This is definitely going to confuse people." End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Tamsin opens her front door to look outside, where the sun is beaming, dressed in her usual attire of a low-cut strapped black dress and fishnet thighhighs. She says "Looks like a scorcher! Bugger, I should've put my sun cream on before I got dressed. Ah well." Back inside, she squirts a big blob of suncream into one hand. She applies it to her arms. She squirts another big blob. She applies it to her chest and neck. She squirts another big blob. She applies it to her face. Then, she squirts a very tiny amount onto her fingertip. She applies it to one fishnet square of her leg. She squirts another very tiny amount onto her fingertip. She applies it to the next fishnet square of her leg along. She squirts another very tiny - the comic cuts off abruptly. End of comic.

Comic from my weekly series, Chamomile. Detailed Description Follows: Chamomile, Samantha and Vienna are walking through town with drinks they've just bought. Chamomile and Samantha are holding bubble tea cups. Chamomile asks "What flavour did you get, Sam?" Samantha looks pleased with herself as she holds up her drink saying "Sweet Thai Milk Tea with extra tapioca. Gonna be chewing through this sucker all afternoon." Chamomile holds up her brightly coloured drink, saying "I got a green tea lemonade with every flavour of popping boba!" Chamomile then turns to Vienna, asking "What about you, Vi?" Vienna holds up a standard takeaway hot drink cup, and says "Flat White." Vienna takes a big sip as Chamomile looks dumbfounded at her. With a disappointed expression, Chamomile says "Why do you hate fun?" Vienna folds her arms and with a smug smile says "Excuse you! How about you come over to mine, and I'll show you the spreadsheets I made to track my 100% completion progress for getting all the armour pieces in the RPG I'm playing. Also organisable by "difficulty to obtain", "gameplay stats" and "how hot they look on my character". Then tell me I hate fun!" End of comic.
