Mera’s character inspirations shifting from vengeful/stubborn/quick-tempered characters to more hopeful and happier characters has reminded me how much she’s grown over the years. She’s still similar to them at the core, an emotionally driven and deeply human character to me that I’m so proud of.

ultimately, where the doma part of the patches falls flat for me is that during base game stormblood, the doma arc was perhaps the most intensely character-driven part of it. but in the patches, the focus remains fixated on the political (of hien brokering a peace treaty, of bringing domans home)

It’s a complete 180 when smaller scale films like The Day the Earth Blew Up (a character driven sci-fi B movie homage) and Coyote vs. ACME (a legal courtroom dramedy) manage to break the mold for what studio execs see in the #LooneyTunes. Not as marketable mascots but versatile actors.
