I think the #DeepThreading caused lag on the #CharacterCounter, when I pasted something that would require three posts, then deleted a bunch, it took many seconds for the characters counter to catch up and shift from #RedToGreen.

It’s been a while since I was there, but I believe I saw servers with different word limits. A quick search seems to show you can easily modify the length since it’s just a var in a .js file

Never was clear to me as a newb how diff servers dealt with custom emoji, custom lengths, etc.
Instructions to change post length to 1500 char /app/javascript/mastodon/features/compose/components/compose_form.js Find: <CharacterCounter max={1500} text={this.getFulltextForCharacterCounting()} /> and change the number to whatever you like, I have 1500 Then go to /app/validators/status_length_validator.rb Find: MAX_CHARS = 1500 and change the number whatever (I changed it 1500)
