Day 63 of my 2025 trip took me from Poitiers to Chaunay. The navigation was complicated, the weather was threatening and I found Chaunay to be dull and boring. It was probably the only place in France where I’ve had that impression.

Day 64 took me from down-at-heel Chaunay to a much more lively Ruffec. I enjoyed the contrast, and the fact that even just 12km into the ride I found a lovely, lively spot for a refreshing coffee, called Sauzé-Vaussais. This was the France that I had come to love.

Des travaux, réalisés par Chartres métropole, débuteront à la déchetterie de Chaunay le 31 août afin de créer une nouvelle entrée.
La circulation va être modifiée près de la déchetterie de Chaunay à partir du 31 août
Le mercredi 19 juillet, au matin, les voitures commencent déjà à s'accumuler à la déchetterie de Chaunay. MARIUS COUDREUSE

Manon Bauchet a fait le pari d’ouvrir sa chèvrerie, à Chaunay, commune de Fontenay-sur-Eure, au sein de la ferme familiale de son mari ⬇️
Près de Chartres, Manon a fait le pari des chèvres : quatre ans plus tard, 48 bêtes et 35.000 litres de lait
Manon Bauchet est à la tête d'un troupeau de 48 chèvres.
