Weapon for West Sussex would be a disappointed 'tut' - used at the right time, it can crush. Particularly effective when combined with the wearing of faded red trousers.
Visit Chichester to see it in action every day.

I had brunch with him at #Gally1 and he was a joy. We somehow got to talking about Walt Whitman and I mentioned I had sung the Vaughan Williams Sea Symphony. He got misty-eyed talking about being a child chorister at Chichester Cathedral.

Amazing to think the City Council of Chichester where we live is 800 years old! Something to celebrate.
This afternoon we watched the Mayor’s Lantern Parade and the Mayor’s Proclamation from the Council House in North Street to the Market Cross. This was celebrating 800 years of the City Council and the heritage and community spirit of our city. The Mayor is in red wearing his office chain.

The Guildhall, also called the Friary, in Priory Park, Chichester, West Sussex; was built in the 1270s by the Franciscans. An example of late 13th-century architecture it’s one of the few Franciscan Friaries in England that is still roofed.
