Hey all, I wanted to share this GoFundMe for @cassieclearly.bsky.social for her bottom surgery. Cassie is one of the biggest fans of my podcast and I'd love to repay her for all her support over the years by asking you all to contribute to her surgery fund. gofund.me/efe04d035

What’s a movie you think nobody but you and a handful of people have heard of, that you think is a fantastic film?

Hi folks - I've not been as active on here as I'd like, but I've got big news!

I've had an initial consultation to discuss gender affirming surgery, and now I need to raise the funds to make sure the travel, lodging, care, and copays I need are all in place.

100%, but also like it's so much easier to Try And Learn Self Discipline when you're, as I was in my case, in your late twenties, single, childree and with a v reasonable salary/flexible work hours, than in basically any other scenario lol

I feel like some of the most insane people on the Internet are:

a) the genre of childree folks who who call kids "crotchfruit"

b) parents who believe the entire universe should cheerfully revolve around their children's need to do whatever they want all the time

i see where you're coming from, i just don't think it makes economic sense to target childless adults - who are mainly younger and poorer (not childree DINKs, who are rare) - over other tax levers. but i agree parental benefit payments, like in norway, paid for by a variety of taxes, are fine.

Like, me and my most vehemently childree friend once did a whole-day printing workshop for middle schoolers together. The kids loved us and we had a blast because there is a difference between not wanting to be pregnant and wanting kids put in the camps for talking in an Olive Garden.

this person was in my mentions earlier, saying that they don't feel bad for kids at all because they have "the most access to information ever and they still can’t figure it out."

I just wish people would focus on education and life long learning = good and stop creating controversy where there is none. But I am also very sheltered due to being childree and a hermit, so what do I know?

Pareil pour moi. Proud childfree (not childless) : des enfants il y en a partout, maltraités souvent. Je suis vigilante.

Also, my fundraiser for bottom surgery is still going. If you're able to share or donate, it would mean the world 💖

unfortunately, let's just say that there is a reason so few have watched it. It used to be available only by mail order from the director himself, Clifton Childree - which is how I got my copy. You could try contacting him on Facebook. It also seems to have been on Mubi at some point, but not now.
