These woollen chitons (or long tunics) have - incredibly - survived from Roman Egypt due to the dry climate. Amazing finds showing a wonderful insight into past fashions.

We found some huge chitons and little mudskippers under some boulders. Junior Cans is going to need some decent Cool Rock Storage.

A lot of chitons for no reason 🦑
Just got home from an epic tide-pooling road trip in Northern California with my almost-10-year-old. We saw crabs, chitons, anemones, seal, otters, snails, beautiful seaweed and kelp, old growth redwoods, banana slugs, and the Best Burrito Ever (Point Market, Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz).
