Updating “Every peasant should have a chicken in the pot on Sunday” to “Every citizen should be able to kick back at some stage in August looking at the sunset with a drink and chooons” isn’t the worst mission statement for the EU.
Happy Friday, happy August.

The greatest political bang for buck ever was Augustus recognising the need for chill time in August. Over two thousand years later, it’s still referred to as his holiday in the month renamed after him.
Because to be European is to know: at some point in August you need to chill with some chooons.

So many band mates, sound guys, producers are leaving us.
Saying hi on Facebook to real world mates, sad when a lifetime friend or colleague goes
Another funeral last week.
The #chooons and food were excellent

Way home Chooons with Glacis and ‘Exuberance’ (2015 Bandcamp). Music that builds and swells in the mind. Lovely ☺️

Today's train music, some chooons recommended by @p70.bsky.social Cactus, (1971, Tidal). This isn't the 2 CD version, though I feel I should now have it. A period in time usually most familiar with so no idea how this escaped me! Very good heavy ballsy blues rock 😎

Christmas 🎅 dinner cooked and eaten, ladies on sofa watching a movie. Me? Time for the Chooons
Back with Craven Faults, ‘Erratics & Unconformities’ (2020, Tidal). Hard packed down synth rhythms cascading out slowly. Like Tangerine Dream had a dark, nefarious cousin. Loving it 😊
