Next you’ll be telling me that an incorporeal being has no chromosomes or genitalia!
Every one of the abrahamic religions states, theologically! that gd has no gender. "non-binary" is just an unusual way to state the orthodox position of all three faiths bsky.app/profile/dipl...

this is what happened in the Olympics, too. Most people will never have their chromosomes analyzed. But if you do a high throughput screening of peopel like this, you're going to discover a beautiful diversity of genotypes.

We started with asking how the polyploid archaeon H. volcanii maintains and distributes its multiple chromosomes and here we investigated pHV3. A thread🧵 1/5

If we are gonna be reactionary w/policies that hurt a small group of people w/out ever really thinking things through, let’s just go ahead and make all athletes everywhere separate by their chromosomes. And to be extra careful, everybody has to have their chromosomes tattooed to their forehead

It’s going to feel uncomfortable and invasive to everybody, if it’s rolled out at any kind of scale it’s going to reveal all kinds of weirdness around chromosomes that people don’t know about, if it’s only deployed as targeted accusations it’s going to look like a series of witch hunts.

Like it would be a fundamental shift of how we look at humanity if we made EVERYONE get their chromosomes tested. But in reality, it’s just gonna be used to hurt everyone but mostly young girls, trans kids, minority ethnic groups, the usual victims.

Look no further if you are interested in a high-quality, 6 chromosomes genome assembly of a Rhizaria (or rather look at this paper). We also describe Lemnamoeba sinaloensis, a new species of lobose amoeba which is very rare in Rhizaria #protistsonsky
