Also for now: no Iceberg tables, no Snowpark, no Python/Java/JavaScript UDFs or procedures (SQL ones only), no CIDR literals or CIDR type (PARSE_IP still does that job, but returns an OBJECT), and ARRAY_AGG / OBJECT_AGG refuse the type, so a cast to VARCHAR comes first.

This tutorial shows how to fix GKE pod IP exhaustion without rebuilding the VPC by adding a Class E secondary range, creating a new node pool, and draining workloads onto nodes that use the new pod CIDR

Day 22/90 infra: the for_each null trap. An optional cidr left null sailed through for_each, then blew up at cidr_blocks = [each.value.cidr]. try() won't save you -- null is a valid value, not an error to catch. coalesce(r.cidr, default) is the actual fix here. #terraform #iac #devsecops

the main part was really just extending the CIDR flags for the control plane & quickly taking down the kubelets one-by-one to recreate the Nods resources with updated PodCIDRs and node-ip (kubeadm + cilium vxlan with k8s ipam)

Planning a VPC by hand means CIDR math, subnet spreadsheets and a diagram that's out of date by Friday.

I built a free planner: pick a range and your availability zones, get every subnet, a live diagram and the Terraform to build it.

Might be better to say the Internet gave us free software, since linux didn't predate the internet.

Plus, the TCP stacks that came with WinNT, Win95, Win98, Win2000, WinME, Win2003, WinXP, Win2006, WinVista, and Win7 (to SP3), the software we PAID for, were all broken (did not do CIDR correctly).

Our improved SSRF protections may block federation with local addresses, but you can bypass with a new env variable!

Thanks to @coltofox@fox.yt for reporting this issue, you can now properly federate with local instances. Non-global address ranges that federation is allowed to reach. Comma separated ips or CIDR r...

I told them about subnet conflicts specifically, but they interpreted "isolation" as avoiding network connectivity entirely. This is why the LAN subnets were taken—they weren't trying to isolate from each other; they just needed to avoid overlapping CIDR blocks, a common misinterpretation th...

Recently I have got tired of this, so now I am more aggressive: if one of my irregular peeks at my logs spots your IP address doing this, I'll look it up in ARIN, take a quick look at who owns it, and if (as almost always) it's some random overseas ISP I'll just block the whole CIDR block.

Sorry.
